Students and Families,
Welcome to Golden Brook School! On behalf of my administrative team, the Windham School Board, and our school district, we are happy to have you with us. My name is Chris Hunt, and I’m not just Golden Brook’s principal: I’m a proud GBS graduate. Golden Brook looks a lot different than when I went to school here, thanks to our recent two-year, $38.5 million renovation. What hasn’t changed is the Golden Brook family’s commitment to giving our students the best that we can offer them. It was true when we opened as a small, K-2 school, and it’s just as true today.
We at Golden Brook know that we are fortunate. We put those resources to work for students. We support our teachers with the latest professional development and a constantly evolving computer network. The renovation and upgrades give our school a safe, bright, and modern layout—it sure doesn’t feel like we are home to more than 1,100 students! Serving those students is our staff of more than 170 teachers, paraprofessionals, specialists, and support staff. We’re highly trained and we’re motivated to do what’s best for our students.
I am excited for another school year with our amazing students and staff. I am looking forward to seeing everyone and continuing the amazing tradition that the previous students, staff, and parents have established over the years.
